Our Elementary is nestled in the heart of the Ozarks where the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers come together. There are opportunities for horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, etc. The town’s source of pride is the school with hundreds of parents in attendance for the PTO festival, parent-teacher conferences, and other events. Every morning, students start the day together singing Happy Birthday to classmates, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, and reciting the school’s character pledge before going to their individual classes. MAP scores are high, but have dropped slightly each of the last 3 years. The elementary is technology heavy with smartboards and computers in each room, two mobile laptop labs, and Renaissance Place access. The staff is happy, friendly, and close-knit. This would be a wonderful place to make a big difference for some kids who really need a boost.
